What is the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA)?

The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) is a leading organization for licensed pilots and airplane owners.

The association is active in all 50 states and has more than 200,000 members and markets itself as the “central and premier source for pilots and like-minded aviation enthusiasts who share a common passion for flight. We inspire, educate, and promote the freedom of flight through world-class media, products, services, and advocacy”.

Cost for members is around $180 per year. Membership benefits include access to aviation news, discounts on personal flight insurance and hours of educational and safety instruction.
