What is WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC)?

The WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC), based in California, is an institutional accrediting agency that encourages continuous institutional improvement and assures the membership and its constituencies, including the public, that accredited institutions are fulfilling their missions in service to their students and the public good.  

Who Does the WSCUS Accredit?

The WSCUS accredits a diverse membership of public and private higher education institutions throughout California, Hawaii, and the Pacific, as well as a limited number of institutions outside the U.S.

How Does WSCUS Accredit?

In addition to assessing the academic quality and educational effectiveness of institutions, the Commission emphasizes institutional structures, processes, and resources.  The Commission accredits institutions, not individual programs.
